Believe it or not, ALL pro sport contracts (in America) have CONDUCT clauses.  The problem is that they are rarely enforced except in the most grievous cases of deviant behavior.
Most teams wait to see if the player is found guilty in the courts first, then react.  How many athletes are convicted of wrongdoing?
Another problem are GUARNTEED contracts.  Teams sign a player and give them "UP FRONT" money that counts against this years salary cap with remaining years at a lower amount.  They player already has the bulk of the cash!!!
I really don't want to get into ROOKIE contracts, especially when in comes to the NFL.  It's ridiculous!!!
I will say, however, that of ALL the major sports leagues in America, the NFL under Commissioner Roger Goodell, he is much the disciplinarian and DOES hold players accountable for there actions (whether found guilty or not in the courts), and usually doles out his discipline BEFORE there is even a judges verdict.
