Actually, MG, you may not be the only one...

For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to visit this one cemetery in the outskirts of our town. Its called the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, with Chevra Kadisha at the bottom of the name. From the outside, it looks very abandoned and lonely. The cemetery gates were always closed, so I didn't get a chance to see what was inside...at least not until this Labor Day. That afternoon my mom and I were driving to a park, and as we passed the cemetary, I saw the gates were wide open. We decided to go inside and take a look around. As we wandered around, we saw the grave marks are written in English and Hebrew!! Most of the dead there passed away in the 1950's!!!...It was a Jewish cemetery!!!!!!! AND there were burial societies too!!!!! The wierd thing about this kind of cemetery was that there was almost no grass...just concrete, stone grave marks, some palm trees, and the occasional dandelion growing out from the broken concrete. It was quite an interesting trip. I wanna go again...     [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by MEDALGODDESS from Friday, September 05, 2008 4:15:34 PM)
