I'll tell ya who makes these lists. The people who never mention one of the most incredible guitarists ever. Notice that this man uses less distortion than almost anyone else. Why ? Because he doesn't need it to hide his slop ! I got the priveledge to study a bit with him at M.I. back in the 80's. No, I can't play like this. He boinks one near the end, but it 's just like him to laugh it off and try it again and nail it. And yes, Paul came up with the drill, NOT EDDIE VAN COPY A LOT.

Will do, promise.
On another yet similar note, after watching the VH1 80s show, RATT was there, where the hell was Dokken?! In My Dreams in my ears as I type. You know I love RATT but Dokken was WAY up there if not greater. Technically, no DOUBT! Mr. Scary? CRAP!! We have talked (typed) on the topic before. SCARY is right!! Tooth and Nail to follow. Bastiches!!!! Who makes these lists? Despite the fact that, like a train wreck, I cannot turn away...LOL!

You know what was really fun ? We went out to dinner for my B-day. After that we went over to Guitar Center and my kids went fucking ape shit on everything ! It was so awsome to see them get loud and proud and be so exited about every little thing that they were doing. They went nuts on the drums and then we went over to the guitars and I set them up with a crazy old school metal sound and they went nuts on that. Even I didn't know that sounds like that could be made, but it kicked ass and the staff was laughing their asses off. It was great !

And cool guy is to put it mildly. Hell, to put up with a Priest nut like me for a few days, he and his family couldn't be anything BUT! Sadly, he had his amps packed away for the move but I was glad to have made the choice to bring the Phantom rather than the Gibson. The GT GIBSON is amazing for it's tone. Same goes for the KK Gibson. Still, no amp would have been a waste.
Ok, Kiss of Death remake was heavy but I still prefer the original. Playing THAT now!

I would have loved to hear that. I can tell he can shred the shit of a shingle. He just lacks the one thing that holds almost everyone back. CONFIDENCE. It killed me and I know it. You have to be walking the edge of confidence / arrogant asshole. Thank god really. That's probably why he's such a cool guy.
