Apparently, the "scientists" forgot to tell THIS guy:
The fastest mile ever run is 3:43.13 by Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco in 1999. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Head banger from Friday, November 14, 2008 7:23:19 AM)

Same ol' same ol' here. Just got all cleaned up from the gym. Funny little event there tonight. I go for my traditional jog and catch a sign on the way up saying (what I thought) was that they would give a free t-shirt this month for any guy who could run a mile in 1.07 minutes. Well, I did four miles and decided to kick it in for the fifth. Ran almost full-tilt at 9.0 (normal run for me is a 5.8) and I wasn't even CLOSE! Still, finished out my mile and on my way hobbling out the door, I re-read the sign. 1 mile in 7 minutes. HAAAAA!!!!!
