Yep. Small world, that's for sure!
A lot to be said for that seven degrees of separation thing...
(Couldn't agree more on the WCB-thing. So, I'll count my blessings, instead of dollars! Oh yeah, that's much better, lol! ) [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Head banger from Friday, November 28, 2008 1:26:33 PM) | | Head banger wrote: | | interesting small world. crappy deal. Well, WCB sucks, look on the bright side, you dont have to deal with them. I could sleep all the way to airdrie, no one would know. | | WhiskeyWoman wrote: | | dead rear = Red Deer ... okay, I get it now. Ha-ha...
I have to go there for physio at the hospital. Pretty much takes the whole freakin' day... 1.5 hours of driving, one way a couple of times a week.
I was injured as owner of the company, with no extra WCB coverage for myself. Great, eh? Worked out well... I'm sure losing a body part is worth some bucks, but I'll never find out. So, if I can quote our ever-eloquent Stratlover here... "fuckity-fuck-fuck". No, not pissed about that at all... Doesn't bother me one little bit...
Yep, Reid was one of the builders we worked for. (Don't worry, at least it wasn't Albi -- they really suck! Trico's probably the best.) Glad to hear the plumbing's good. Quite likely we did your house! How cool is that? I really do think I recognize the address... Anyway, Wm. Schmidt Mech. would have contracted out the plumbing & heating.
No sleeping on the way home!!!! You *know* how the QEII gets on Friday afternoons! Take care out there... | | Head banger wrote: | |
Do, or did. perhaps they used someone elses building, dunno. it was about 12 years ago. I never lived there, dad had an office there for a while, why masons there, dunno, but he attended there for a while. then again, he attended all kinds of places.
dead rear=red deer
the plumbing in our house will probably out last most of the rest. builder was Reid. they Suck. plumbing works though. roofer on the other hand....
going home soon, thank (insert apropriate deity). although, the drive is exciting enough to sleep all the way. | | WhiskeyWoman wrote: | | Hi HB ... hey, we have/had a Mason's Lodge out here!? No kidding... where the hell? Are you sure??
And your Dad lived/died out here!? (HB, I'm sorry to hear that, btw.) Did you ever live here ...?
There's only 648 people in this town (oops!) village, just how do they manage to hide something like a that, like... a building? Lol... I wonder if it's the old dance studio we replaced all the plumbing in...
We came here (dead rear??? lol...) because we found a beauty house for a great price and couldn't afford anything quite like it in Calgary a few years ago (just before the prices went sky-high), we're not big fans of the city, and it seemed like the area needed an exceptional plumber. Ta da!
You know what? I think either we, or the company we worked for, plumbed *your* particular house! No shit. We did tonnes of houses in that "Wise-wood" area, (get it...?!)
If the plumbing's excellent in your house, with no problems ... then we did it! yay...!
(Easy enough to figure out, by who the builder was.)
Are you on your way home for the weekend? Yay!!! Drive safe. | | Head banger wrote: | | out your way, nope, not since my dad died. he was a member of the masons lodge there.
dead rear, why would you go there? | | WhiskeyWoman wrote: | | Thanks Bev...
Hey, HB & Guido! Hi guyz.... Thanks.
HB, I appreciate the offer ... and I'm pretty good at laundry, so it sounds like a fair trade. Must get to your place before Christmas and give you that magazine, if you still want it. (Sorry, always in a hurry and usually going the other way to Red Deer! You ever get out this way?)
Take care you guyz. |
