Thanks for watching. I have to admit the Halford band was pretty decent. Basically just a Priest copy cat band fronted by Rob Halford but pretty decent. Twin guitars, fast drumming, pretty good vocals, ect. A big improvement over Fight and that juggernaut of a metal assult knows as Two, the so called "Metal God " at his finest! HaHaHA!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1nA5cxJ1Ao HAHAHAHA!!! Hey that Betrayal video would make a good concept for the next Saw movie! What would they call it ? Saw 14, Saw 15! HAHAHA!!!! Seriously though, Halfod was pretty good but that Judas Priest Rapid Fire video shows they had more raw energy than Halford any day. Now if you or anyone else (devil's_ child) want to crawl out of the box and hear some insane vocals try this one by Ripper's Beyond Fear. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvkmBI_pygE Game Over.
While I appreciate the "Mr." moniker / address of respect, nope. You are not going to convince me with that video. Watched it all the way through which reminded me that I have the whole concert bootleg! Watched it ONCE. The odd thing that even reminded me that I had it is that he laughingly has "Ripper" written on the back of his shirt! LOL!
Don't get me wrong. I like Owens as a singer just not as the lead of Judas Priest (OR Iced Earth, for that matter). The fact that he is younger and can sing falsetto does NOT put him in the same league as the Metal God himself. Even in the lower registers he uses today, Halford can convey more pure emotion in both voice and stage presence today than screechy / hoppy Owens could ever hope in his days with Priest. Compare Fight and, my personal fav, Halford band.
That's ok.... we're all laughing at you and your ridiculous attempt to argue the point.....
