Why thank you very much. I'll be sure to share your praise on him when he chirps me awake tomorrow morning. Sadly, he has yet to fall into my schedule. Damn MI time change! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Where AmI from Tuesday, December 02, 2008 12:05:58 AM)

While it took a couple of days to get a pic online, I am happy to introduce my new feathered friend.
With the recent and sudden death of my companion of so many years, two empty cages were too much as even Kiko felt the loss. Then it hits me, with a family member coming down from Michigan to spend Thanksgiving, why not try to get another rescue bird from the same place as my longest feathered companion? An email and a couple of phone calls and it was a done deal. My friends, meet Fred! It is scary as he looks so similar to Kiko. He is about a year old and suffers from a couple of problems. Apparently his mother chewed off all but one of his toes on one foot (pictured) and either she or a dumb previous owner cut his flight feathers too short and they'll never grow back. Still, he whistles like crazy and is really funny when he tries to talk. He came with the name "Fred" and I see no reason to change it. (Drumroll please) Voila ici! FRED!
