Seriously though folks, this whole topic is really disappointing. Where Am I, while I respect your opinion, I think that if you look at other band sites (Megadeth and Iron Maiden to name 2), there are threads just like what we've got here. Are those sites shutting down b/c of such frivolty? Absolutely not! Is the Def Leppard site shutting down b/c of a non-Def Leppard thread? Nope. So, if you don't like the non-JP-related threads, stay out of them. That simple. This whole discussion on is really pointless.
We are all here b/c we want to talk to other JP fans, and it's human nature to discuss what's bothering them or what makes them happy or to create if given the outlet to do so.
If you don't want to see the other threads, there is a little 'X' to the right of each thread heading that you can use to IGNORE threads that you do not want to see. I am sure that it works quite well.
