Isnt that a lovely dance? | | devils_child wrote: | | The only guys that can dance now days are either gay or in the military.... such a shame... I like a man with more moves than just "thrusting" at me.... Not cool | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | Ah yes! The fairer sex! There is something about a man that can dance that makes a woman swoon, my friend! At least it did in my day! I always enjoyed school dances or clubs. Of course, back then it was a far different "dance" than today. FAR different! HA!!!!!!!!!!! Not only am I unable to dance the way kids do today, I am unwilling! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for the video, it is on an old VHS tape. I can assure you it will never be seen on YouTube! | | _strat_ wrote: | | Ah, that would probably be easy enough, if you have it in digital format already... But there are people who can give you much better advice than me, so ill just STFU.
As for dancing, if it works with chicks, then it might be worth learning it. But as I said, Im an anti-talent when it comes to dancing. I can play a guitar, I can play the basics on a bass, I can even sing some less demanding songs (punk numbers and WW2 marching songs - dont ask how these two genres fit together), but dancing... No. Never. | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | AH but you must remember that I come from a time when people felt that you had to be able to sing AND dance to be "talented". They still taught "tap" as a means of making it to Hollywood!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I learned to dance at a young age and always loved it. I even thoroughly impressed the Priincess when we first met with my ability to move with at least some grace. Still, I will NOT post it. I promise. Would not know how, for one thing!! HA!!!!!!!

Keep it! Dont under any condition put it on YouTube, where I could accidentaly come accros it! Dont post it! I just had my lunch! (j/k, of course)
But if you actualy can dance, well... Cool. I was always more an Ozzy than an Axl. Couldnt dance if my life depended on it.

Finaly something that I did not have to know.
And Ozzy dancing around like Axl wouldnt have attracted many fans.

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, Axl does that "snake wiggle" thing!! HAHAHAHAHAAA!!! I used to be able to imitate that before my surgery! HA!!!!!!!!! Ozzy has never been a graceful guy. Even in the early 70's, he did not do much more than "bang" his head and give the "peace sign" with his fingers.

Axl shakes his ass like a ho from a 50 cent video. Ozzy moons the audience. I pick Ozzy.

Aaaarrgghh. All of this is Greek to me! HA!!
HB, I never considered Ozzy a "great" singer, in the mold of a Dio. He was distinctive, certainly. As for his onstage "moves", he was no dancer! (He may be a lover, but he aint no dancer....HA!) He always had kind of a stumbling, mechanical way of moving. VERY "white", if you will. Not really graceful, if you ask me. Now, Freddie Mercury had moves! WOW! That guy was graceful! Heck, even Axl Rose could move some! HA!!!!!!!!!!!

RJD is an awesome singer. the line that gets me EVERY time I hear it is "Sing me a song your a singer..."
DF, was ozzy a great singer back in the day. I was impressed that he seemed coherant, jumped around a lot and got the words right. his vocal abilities didnt impress me much. but I didnt think he could move like that. he is no match for Dio though. Rob Halford has to be on his best day to compare.

Lol. Well, he is short, you cant deny that. I saw an interwiev with him once where he was surrounded by his bandmates from DIO. The rest of them were somewhere of a normal height, just Ronnie was down there like a child. And he has that mischevious, impish look as well.
But that aside, I said it before and I say it again, an awesome singer. His singing really sends shivers down my spine. AND he is good lyricist as well. Theres a song on the Black Sabbath: The Dio years album (a great album, worth every cent) that starts with "One fine day... In hell". How could I possibly not like that? Or lines like "shadow in the dark"? Thats metal! Not singing about chicks or partying. Thats just pop with guitar solos, as far as Im concerned. Dungeons and dragons, swords and sorcery. Thats metal for me!
Now, you can say Im a geek, because quite frankly... I am.

His voice is distinctive, no doubt. He was a very good entertainer. I loved his shows. I have been to probably eight or nine of them. Like I said, he has simply abused his body to the point where he is hardly a living human being! All his mumbling, shuffling and confusion are NOT a joke.
As for Dio...a gnome?!?!? HAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!! That is TOO funny! He certainly is "ol iron lung", that's for sure! I do not think a cage could hold him! HA!!!!!!!!

Mhm. Dio is the little man with the huge voice. He looks really cool too. Kinda like a little gnome that I would keep locked in a cage in my house to do my bidding...
As for Ozzy, what I was refering to is that his voice has character. IDK what an entertainer he is, because I never seen him live. But Iron Man doesnt sound the same without Ozzy.

Dio is great. A real vocal talent. Ozzy was good when he was at his best but he is no Dio. He is no Halford, either. Still, as far as being an "entertainer", you have a point. THAT he is! Of course, so is David Lee Roth. I never thought much of him vocally BUT he can work a crowd. Remarkable entertainer.

Well, IDK, I was never much of a singer, but in Ozzies case I think that there never was much talent behind it. Just character.
As for R.J. Dio, that is another thing. One of my favourite singers of all time, and Id dare say that I prefer him over Halford sometimes. Glad to hear he can still pull it off. |
