OMG... I don't know what info they are feeding the overseas immigration market about Australia... yes we may have snakes and spiders, but to my knowledge so does the Arizona desert?... Seriously in all my life i have never been biten by spider or snake. I have seen maybe 2 - 3 snakes in my lifetime and that includes my time living in the outback.
I always come across this unhealthy fear about the wildlife in my country.... it's so sad, personally i think lots of people are missing out on a lot of the natural beauties that this country posseses....
