HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was also kidding about the water's safety value. Actually, I was using sarcasm and over-exaggeration in an illustrative prose...but I digress.
The "machine" we call woman?? HA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like that, actually! Good one. With the Princess, it is quite simple; Do as you are told and no one gets hurt..HAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
When I was a young man, we rode the bus every weekend to the beach to go surfing. During summer vacation, we were on the bus just about everyday. It was a different time then. Not so many lunatics to deal with and the bus was not a big deal. Nowadays (at least here in the US) kids look down upon those that would ride the bus. The Princess has an older son (about 20) that would rather drive a shard of glass through his neck than step on the bus. It is disgusting, really. But, I am old and I know nothing of being a "cool" kid, right?
I received my first car as a birthday present when I turned 16. I have owned my own car ever since.
As for recycling...well, see my previous umpteen posts regarding the subject. I don't do it. That's that.

Well, I know you have tap water. I am shocked, tho, that it isnt safe to drink. I really cant imagine drinking bottled water every day. IDK, maybe its just a habbit - beer, coke, juice, milk ect. come from bottles or cartons - but water comes from the plumming. IDK, but I wouldnt have it your way, no thanks.
Oh, and I also know that you werent kidding about the princess stuff. Young I may be, but I know how the machine we call "woman" functions.
As for public transport, the math is simple really. If I was to buy a car, I would have to spend at least 2 to 3 thousand € just for the car (used car, at least 10 years old, probably French or Italian). Plus some 500€ on registration, and a fortune on gas (which is almost twice as expensive here than at your end). On the other hand, the bus pass costs me 17€ per month. What am I going to choose? And I dont even have to drive the damn thing.
Recycling... Well, it is a good idea. But I guess were just not used to it. There is always the potential fine-if-I-get-caught-not-recycling thingy to consider. Unlikely, but possible.

HA!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been described in many ways strat, but that is a new one. Accurate as well!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Yes, we have tap water. The Princess will not drink it! (And you thought I was kidding about that "princess" stuff!! HA!!) She expects bottled water in the 'fridge at all times. If there are but two or three remaining, I am sent to the store immediately. NO excuses. Quite frankly, the morons that run this city are barely capable of taking a crap on their own, much less seeing to it that my water is safe. I will go with the bottles, thank you.
I agree with the previous post about mass transit. I am not interested so long as I can afford my own car. Period. I have no problem using it when I am somewhere on vacation. It is quaint and I like to "people watch". It is actually fun. Cable cars in 'Frisco, subway in New York. Horse-drawn carriage in Toronto. But as far as my day to day life, I choose to drive.
Recycling is not a bad idea. I just do not take the time to do it. By nature, I am rather lazy and simply do not care that much. Terribly rude, I know but as you mentioned, I am being honest. And I am serious about the people that pick through my refuse. They do a much better job than I would.

Freeze, youre a right bastard. But at least youre an honest bastard.
Anyway... I dont know what the quality of tap water is over there, but wouldnt it be cheaper and more practical just to use tap water?
As for the recycling part, I actualy agree. Its fucking reccesion! People get fired on a daily basis! What better way to create some new jobs, than by employing a couple of them to sort out the garbage?

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's RIGHT!!! He DOES annoy me that that "Go Green" , "Save the Earth", hippie crap!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!! And as far as I can see, that print might be my daughter's! Mine is MUCH bigger and , if I have anything to say about it, it will get much, MUCH larger before I am gone!!!
I go through at least a case and a half of bottled water a week, I throw ALL my garbage in the same friggin ' can, I use my washer and dryer whenever I damn well please and I drive my car from the front door to the friggin' mailbox!!!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Save the earth...pphhhhhhhfffffftt! Yeah, yeah. Peace and love and pass me a "doobie", man.
There are enough people going through my garbage to make certain that it gets properly seperated. I am too freakin OLD to try to string a clothesline and, in all honesty, I happen to like to get from place to place in my car. That is why I bought the damn thing. You guys do the "earth saving", OK? I truly do not plan to live long enough to reap it's benefits anyway.......BWWWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! |
