the last time we have a big fire over here it was terible, the most annoying thing ever.. Ohhh crap there's a big fire.... I'll check the news.. I dont watch it very often, that's why i had no idea. They had a total fire ban in Victoria because of the immense heat and the fact that everything is so dry down there. Lucky up here we get a fair bit if rain to keep the overgrowth damp.
