I forget who it was, but someone posted yesterday that (and I am paraphrasing here) the people who vote the winners and hell who draw the nominees have no business doing so, because they know absolutely nothing about the musical genres we prefer. I know DP...it's not like I get physically ill or anything...I guess it's just their general lack of respect or understanding of the genre itself...it's not like I'm not used to it by now...but there was a guy (well, a lot of the entertainers that night that had won that I had never even heard of before) but this guy had 14 Grammy's...and I still don't remember his name!!! It's like a sports league expansion...the talent is so dilluted...it's mind numbing...that's all!!

C'mon Ron! Aside from Def Leppard, Whitesnake and (ick) Jethro Tull, name one other British Hard Rock/Metal act that won shit at the Grammy's since they added those categories? Here's your answer: NONE!

...it doesn't really bother me so much that they didn't win...what does bother me is that in the eyes of the industry, and those that have voted over the years, is that they have never won anything...I mean, even the bands that have sold more don't expect to win with every release, but 51 years of Grammy voting and 30+ years of nothing??...
