At the time I created this thread, I felt it was appropriate. Maybe I could have just brought it up on another thread, maybe I should have. I certainly did not want to offened anyone.
The fact is I own all the Metallica studio albums, and I own mostly all of Megadeths studio albums ( I am having a hard time finding The System Has Failed ) . The truth is I used to like Metallica, nowhere near as much as Priest, but I listened to them from time to time. Over a period of time, I got sick of listening to thier music. On the other hand Megadeth to me is only 2nd to JP.
I was just curious to see if anyone out there shared my opinion. I really hope you understand Deep Freeze. I can understand where you came from and I did not mean to offened you in any way. Thank you for a response to the question.
ICM, I do hope you will forgive me for what may sound rude but, perhaps no one has "weighed in" because it is really not something that required an entire Thread?? I mean, you could have certainly asked one of the other members what they thought of these bands in almost ANY of the multitude of existing Threads, no? My distaste for multiple threads is well known, so I am probably not the one to help you out but I really think you would have gotten a better response to your inquiry had you simply joined a conversation and asked your question.
Having said this, I am more of a Megadeth fan than I am Metallica, although I do like them both. I have old Metallica records but nothing new. I find that Megadeth is great but I am not a fan of "speed" for speed's sake, if you know what I mean? Anyway, I am a bigger fan of Megadeth. There. Question answered.
