Nice Guid! But I never ran across that one in my one horse town even when I used to special order albums at that time. Very nice indeed.
I need to tour, you "museum" sometime, it's a damn sight better than mine. BTW, I still have that promo DOF. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Wednesday, February 18, 2009 10:47:57 PM) | | guidogodoy wrote: | | "Spell cheked" Learn to spell, "Yank without a gun!"
DC, I only stated the obvious as you corrected me on the "Best of JP." Nope, Album was never called that but keep in mind to whom you type. An old fart who LIVED AND DIED for the "Best of JP." A standard throughout my college years. Put it on and it was an instant party. SACRED, IOW! Own it some four times in four different formats.
I hold the line. Yours is not a "remaster." It is a compilation. There are at least four others that offer the "best of." However, to an old fart like me (and many like me) there is and will only be ONE "Best of Judas Priest." Gull - the Picture disc is even the exclusive Milan release (others came around from other countries...nothing close to the quality).
Jest a purist / obsessive collector sayin' ....

Yes i know that.... I'm not claiming to own that original copy... I wish i did however. And please... do not insult my discographical knowledge by thinking i not know that Living After Midnight wasn't released prior to 1980...
I don't even know what the arguement was even about now... Bottom line is.... Best of's don't count.. because it is my understanding that in order to get on a best of song list it has been played live. And of course Unleashed in the East is contradictory because it was a live set...... I'm sure you merely suggested it to be a smart arse.... *applause*...
I am well aware the copy i have was released as part of the re-masters set back in 2002.

Look at the date. It was not the original release. Again, think about it, how COULD it be? "Living After Midnight" was only written / released years later!
"The Best of Judas Priest" is an album in and of itself. YOU have a re-release compilation with completely different songs. This one is a classic and focuses on their early career (starting with 1974 tunes).
1. Dying To Meet You
2. Never Satisfied
3. Rocka Rolla
4. Diamonds And Rust
5. Victim Of Changes
6. Island Of Domination
7. The Ripper
8. Dreamer Deceiver / Deceiver
