Had a breakthrough with soon to be ex during his birthday dinner, yesterday. He actually opened up about his personal life, and acknowledged where he's been spending the nights he hasn't been home. I usually only get a text message the following morning, that he's "on the boat". 'Course he was discovered two years ago. But it took this long for him to come to terms with the fact I wasn't gonna drag him through a nasty divorce, take half of everything he's worked his life for, etc. And that we can actually work this out to everyone's benefit. MM is very busy with his work and all. He tells me he just does not have the time to come in and chat. I suppose that is a good thing, but the selfish part of me wishes he could find the time....
