look at what dc described.
made from gelatine. now, here we might spell it different, but jelly is thickened with pectin, not gelatin.
our jello, is their jelly. what our jelly is, still a mystery. probably strained jam, or some such. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Sunday, March 01, 2009 10:57:23 PM)

Oh man, don't throw a wrench into things. Jelly and jello are two completely different beasts!
I can make jello in my favorite lobster mold, FFS!

Jelly: Made from gelatine (great with ice cream)........ Comes in various flavours my favourite being raspberry, port is a close second. Jam: Fruit, loads of sugar - can be purchased with or without fruit pulp in jar or squeeze bottle. Preserve: Thicker version of jam, not as sweet. has loads of fruit pulp. The good stuff comes in a can.
