VERY, VERY well said guido! And clearly something that HAD to be said. Bravo! In fact, I will go you one further;

In the over four years that I have been a member of this site, I have seen people come and go. Nothing, and I mean nothing, unusual about that.  But to insinuate, even without purpose,  that those who have decided to leave us and not return are somehow  a "better" class of people is a HUGE load of self-righteous BULL SH#@.  Very few that have permanently left are all that missed. In fact, there are more that need to go. More importantly, those that have stayed are, by and large, wonderful people! NOT troublemakers and losers that need to "get a life", as has so often been suggested. And, as you point out, there is a very large group that leave and return...often more than once!

I am so sick of hearing about how "terrible" this place is and how great it "used to be". I have been here a long time (relatively speaking) and this place is fantastic. Moreover, some of my best friends are here and have never left!  Admittedly , there are other sites available and there will always be a debate as to which is "better", however, much like people, "better" is a very subjective definition.

If someone here does not like this site or finds its membership distasteful, they are free to leave. In fact, I encourage them to do so. Perhaps they can join the "better" people that apparently can only achieve that lofty status by departing from our midst?
