AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEM!!!!....MOMENT PLEASE!  ....AS MUCH AS I APPRECIATE YOUR LOYALTY TO THE ISLANDERS,AND HOCKEY IN GENERAL MY FELLOW FAN,IT'S THE HABS THAT HAVE BEEN HERE FOR 100 YEARS,THE RANGERS JOINED IN '26 I BELIEVE...AND THE RANGERS ARE IN NO WAY NEAR THE TOP TWO GREATEST TEAMS IN HISTORY,4 TITLES,I DON'T THINK SO...YOUR ISLANDERS DID VERY NICELY EARLY ON,I'LL AGREE WITH YOU THERE,BUT SINCE, A DOWNWARD SPIRAL,POOR SUPPORT,AND NOW AN OWNER WHO HAS PUBLICLY STATED HE'S SORRY HE BOUGHT THE TEAM,I HOPE THEY CAN START TO FIX THINGS THERE,GOOD FANS LIKE YOU ARE NEEDED MORE HOWEVER...TOP TWO OF THE GREATEST TEAMS IN HISTORY?...THAT SIMPLY STARTS WITH MONTREAL AND TORONTO,AS FAR USING THE TERM "HISTORY" AS YOU DID...NOT TO MENTION THE NUMBER ONE RIVALRY....OTHER RIVALIES WORTHY OF MENTION:

As far as the hitting goes...I thought, going into the playoffs, that that was where the Hawks would come up short, and not just the hitting but in overall toughness...but I am pleasantly suprised in that they elevated their game to the next level...it was for that reason that I wasn't sure if they'd make it past the Flames (Calgary really was an impressive team to watch)...and Vancouver is even more impressive (their goalie is awesome!!!)...you don't really get the 'feel' of a team only playing them 1,2,3 or even 4 games a season...but over the course of a series you get to see (usually, at some point) what a particular team is all about...and hopefully in the playoffs, your team takes it to another level...
Still, there is a lot of great hockey left to be played, and I'm still hoping the Hawks make it to the Conf. finals...that was my hope before the games started...but it's been tough with lots of comebacks...but I haven't had this much fun since the early 90's...big game tonite for us, game 6...unfortunately the Hawks seem to play the last game each night, but 8pm (local) isn't too bad...
