Well, with the Red Wings loss last night, the Hawks will get a few extra days of rest, which they really need...I can't quite remember, but I think they only had 1 or 2 days off between the 1st and 2nd rounds...
...So here's a general question that I'd like some opinion on...the Sharks won the Presidents trophy by way of having the most points in the regular season, but were bounced in the 1st round...does that eliminate them from being the best team in the NHL as they will not win the Stanley Cup this year? The reason I ask is that I think Detroit is the best team in the West still in the playoffs, if they lose to the Ducks, will that 'cheapen' the series with the Hawks?? I think the answer is more easily answered in some of the other sports (ie MLB has only a 5 game opening series to start the first round and the NFL games are all one and done, so whichever team is 'hot' on that day may not necessarily be the best team)...does the same logic apply here in the NHL??
