Crap...it's been a while since I've had a cup...it has a very strong, bitter onion-like taste (to the point where you don't want to drink it at all). The smell is even worse. But man...were my nights so nice after having that tea. No troubles at all.
My mom likes to add a teaspoonful of honey to make it sweeter. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Becks from Tuesday, May 26, 2009 8:36:26 PM)

Thought maybe you left it on for the water to turn brown. Just thought I'd ask.

You peel off the outermost skin (the flaky stuff).

Do you leave the onionskin on or peel it?

All you have to do is cut a few slices of onion, then boil them until the water has a brown-ish color. Take out the onion slices and pour it into a cup. Take in the smell for a couple of minutes (you HAVE to if you want the stuffiness to go away, no matter how strong the smell might be!!!), and drink it all up. And viola!! You will be able to breathe easier!!

Ooooh I've never heard of onion tea either, but sounds interesting! How is it made?

Hopefully Guido is well
I'm alright thanks MG, just at the annoying stage with my cold now, I just want it to bugger off LOL! Are you lactose intolerant? My twin sister is, she gets a massive tummy upset from having more than a small glass of milk.
