HA!!!
it kills me when I see these things in the news. I read one a while ago that said that if all of antarctica melted (which it wont) sea level would rise by 2 feet in the south pacific, 12 feet in hawii, 8 feet in japan, 6 feet in england. WTF??? probably if you could get water to spread like that it would, but last I checked, it spreads evenly. never noticed that if you dump a bucket of water into a puddle it all goes to one side, floods the ant colony and the other side stays level?? You're right, I was in a hurry getting ready for work...the xact area that would be affected is the north eastern shores, not on a global level...the article was in the Yahoo news, it might still be there and maybe I read it wrong, but just the possibility that it could happen is a little scary...

Ron, there isnt enough ice there to make the levels of the great lakes rise 20 inches if you put all the water in there today. if all of antarctica melted they would be on the right track, but most parts of antarctica are growing, not shrinking

A recent report claims that if the ice sheet in Greenland continues to melt at it's current pace, sea levels could rise anywhere from 12-20 inches...that would be devestating!!!
