yeah, wonder how much energy it would take to melt all that? probably a nuke would do it, although most would flash to steam and have to condense into rain.

it kills me when I see these things in the news. I read one a while ago that said that if all of antarctica melted (which it wont) sea level would rise by 2 feet in the south pacific, 12 feet in hawii, 8 feet in japan, 6 feet in england. WTF??? probably if you could get water to spread like that it would, but last I checked, it spreads evenly. never noticed that if you dump a bucket of water into a puddle it all goes to one side, floods the ant colony and the other side stays level??
