Well, unless something out of the blue happens, I will die with debt, most ppl do unfortunately...I don't want that to be her (Brianna) concern...unlike when we were kids, even high school fees are out of this world these days...but, as you are well aware of, us parent's always have an eye on the big picture, it's getting our kids to look that way that's hard to do...but it's amazing the things that can happen when we're all on the same page!!! I recall those same feelings when my daughter graduated high school TEN years ago! Went to California to be a part of it. I was SO proud! Then I started getting the bills from her Nursing School!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It never ends, my friend!!! But, as you so accurately pointed out, it truly IS a labor of love!!!

Freeze, thank you for the kind words...and you hit the nail on the head, it's a lifetime labor of love, and one that we truly embrace!!! This is a day that commemorates one achievement that took many years of ups and downs to get to, and it will be well celebrated...but there are many more to come....

Ron,
My advocation and support of education is well documented amongst these Threads. I must offer my most sincere congratulations to your daughter and a special "well done" to you and your former wife. Yours is a tremendous feat and a testament to good parenting, for being a parent does NOT end when divorce enters. Parenting is a job you accept for life. You are a special individual, as is your ex-wife. I commend you both. Please pass along my best to ALL of your family.
