So… What makes a good member?

Well, a good member is hard to define.  You would think they should like priest, but thinking about it, they could contribute in lots of threads without it.  A bad member would slam the band on a regular basis, but a good member need not love everything they do.

A good member should get along with most people, but not be a pushover or “sheeple” that lets everyone walk all over them.  They should stand up for what they believe in.  This includes standing up for friends, although, if you disagree with your friend, your choices are

• Publicly disagree
• Disagree in PM
• Do nothing, let it pass

Agreeing with someone just because you are friends is stupid.  It’s a waste of intellect, think for yourself. 

 A good member never brings a PM conversation public, and never holds who their friends are talking with or friends with against them. 

There are good members who regularly contribute, are well thought of and general do well. 

There are good members who rarely post, but when they do, see above

There are bad members who try to create shit with every post.  They are easily spotted and hardly worth the time to click the ignore button.  Worth a laugh though mostly.

Then there are the members who try to spread shit and are insidious.  They sneak in pretending to be good, get into pm games etc…. they are the worst kind of scum.  They are the hardest to ban because they are so sneaky, but they are the worst.  They must be shunned at all cost.  Sadly they are the hardest to see, and cause the most pain. 

Soy, on that note, I am glad to hear that you used your life to a purpose outside of this board, if I might suggest, the world would be a better place if you spent more time with the kids.  DF, on the same note, where is that costume, you didn’t wear it when I was there?
