Can't you find some sort of mesh to put around the bottom of their cages? I have two pet birds that do the same thing. Throw crap everywhere and I line the bottom of their cages with a sawdust-like material. This mesh helped a ton. A rabbit would chew through a lot, though. I am thinking screening or fine-mesh chicken wire. Would be cheap and a couple inches along the bottom would certainly help.
Well, Pip, it all revolves around his precious garage floor and the fact that te rabbits tend to kick their sawdust out of their cage at night. He says because I only clean it up every second day that that means I'm not looking after them. I give them food, I clean their water out sometimes 3 times a day because of the sawdust they keep kicking into it, they're not wasting away, starving or skin and bone. It's just because of the garage floor. The guy's a complete puss head and I wish he'd die.
