yep--a freakin' creamsicle !!--I love creamsicles but I didn't want to be one --I'm dirty blonde by nature & just wanted a touch -up so to speak but that sure isn't what I got & the sad part about it was she never finished school because of it--that's the sad part--I've learned a long time ago to poke fun of myself so I wasn't mad in the least --I was talking her ear off too- but she stopped school--my hair was fried to say the least [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by spapad from Saturday, June 20, 2009 11:27:44 AM)

My hair stopped growing after my niece --who was 3 classes away from graduating beauty school--begged me toget my hair done---well--I WANTED highlights put in & trimmed but that's not what I got--I have a big gossip mouth & all my nieces take after me so we got to talking --she never timed me & what were supposed to be blonde highlights turned out to be a lovely shade of orange---so I had to pay $110 to fix her "mistake "--& to top it all off--she was too scared to finish beauty school---needless to say I pay to have my hair done now
I'd never had such dry hair in my life & it was orange to boot !!--I looked like a creamsicle !!

LOL, I think mine quit growing as the last beautician, (as they actually gave her license to do this) butchered my hair and now I'm just trying to grow out the mess she created!

I had long hair as a kid--my mom used to braid it &OMG the pigtails !!!
now it's just below my shoulders & it's a lot thicker than when I was a kid---it doesn't grow as fast as when I was younger

I had my hair that long many occasions in my life but I have very fine hair and probably not much a wig maker could do with it.

Yes Spapad...it's the little things in life that make someone else so happy that makes it all worth while!! My daughter gets the credit for doing it first then getting me on board with it. My father has had several bouts with cancer over the years so I'm familiar with the toll treatments can have on a person...it was a no-brainer, really!!

That's cool you cut it all off for Locks of Love! Very Cool indeed.

It's just a normal haircut now...it took literally years to get it that long...then it looks like a perm when it's dry. My daughter would come over with her flat iron for those special occasions and my hair was literally down to the small of my back. I always kept in a ponytail as it would be all over the place. That pic was about 1/2 an hour after waking up, soooo.....color it red and call me bozo (or the white samoan!!!)

Wow, you really had some serious hair! How long is it now?
