It does not sound "silly" at all! In fact, I think it is GREAT!! Learning to play will help you find a release! It will give you an opportunity to write and use your gift!! I think that is awesome! I do not believe you can ever be "too old"! Music lives inside of us and it never ages! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by lalouve from Tuesday, June 23, 2009 6:20:53 AM)

I believe you without the shadow of a doubt ! And guess what : years ago one the musicians I worked with told me that I should have an instrument in my hands. I never did it, because of several things. But, about 3 weeks ago, tired of not having live music and noone to write with I decided to start learning music theory and piano so in term I'll put my lyrics to my music lol. I'm just beginning but already having a blast ! And I don't care if takes me years to be able to get a nice tune as long as I give it a shock :O)) It might sound funny to some poeple, being middle aged and picking up an instrument, but I really don't give a hoot lol I can't survive without music either :)

Yes, it does show. And I'm sure you had a blast doing it. I wished I had seen it happened. I used to be a lyricist for a hard rock band and I just loved to watch the guys work. It is quite an experience and I never got bored with! It simply is fabulous, overtaking. And I miss it soooo much now....sigh...
