Yeah I use crunchy for a satay, it's good in that, but on toast or sandwiches, smooth all the way! LOL! My husband likes crunchy so it's like a peanut butter stand off here LMAO. It would be hard being an emotional eater - I am too, as soon as my husband went to Afghanistan, and whenever I get bad news, I reach for chocolate or whatever. I'm a highly sensitive and emotional person too LOL!

I was diet controlled too for 2 years but the last year or so have been tough --I'm an emotional eater & it just wrecked havoc on my system not to mention my diabetes but I have a new doc who listens to me & now I'm on the right track
I had bllod work on Friday so I'll call the doc today but it won't hurt to eat a banana every day
My mom had a diabetic stroke went into a coma & died--her blood sugar was in the 1700's sI sure don't want to end up like that--my oldest brother has been having mini strokes & is slowly losing his eyesight but he doesn't take his meds right & he refuses to take his insulin--I can yell til I'm blue in the face but the decision is ultimately his

We have heaps of diabetes in my family, both of my maternal grandparents have it and my Dads brother had it quite bad apparently - something I had no clue about till he died. My husbands Dad has it also, and has just become insulin dependent. His own doing though, he was just a diet managed diabetic for years but never took care of himself properly, silly man. He's of the school of 'it's going to happen anyway' so never even tried to hold it off for as long as possible.
