Subjective is the word & that's the point I was trying to make yesterday morning--it's up to each individual to say what's metal ---- what's hard rock & as for classic --what might be classic for one person might not be classic for another
And then again ---you have so many subdivisions of classic metal--death metal is one for example it's mind boggling
I don't like Jethro Tull--well some of his songs I do like --but he won the Heavy Metal award at one of the music awards shows & he beat out Metallica--Now I don't feel Jethro Tull is heavy metal but the awards show did
That just goes to show that every one has their own opinion
Hell--my older brother loves Gordon Lightfoot--The Little River Band & Air Supply--& he told me that those bands were hard rock--well I beg to differ they're more soft rock--but it just goes to show that people can make up their minds & when you have people who are passionate about the music then you have squabbles

True, I'm listening to their song Headhunter at the mo, this song is heavy metal to me, but like you said, as a whole probably more on the cusp of HM in general. Music is so subjective isn't it LOL!

Becks --I would consider them just below the grain of heavy metal
that list that Hotrockin--posted for us of the heavy metal bands --well alot of them I just didn't agree with but I think Krokus is more of a hard rock band but close enough to heavy metal that one could cosider them to be HM
I just wish they would've put out more music

Hey, I have a question about this list for anyone could answer LOL! Should Krokus be on this list? Does anyone here consider them heavy metal? I do, but more so as another of those bands that are on the edge of heavy metal, rather than fully, if that makes sense LMAO!

Even Wikpedia does not classify WINGER as CLASSIC HEAVY METAL. Something MOST of us already knew, but apparently SOMEONE needs to see it in black and white, so here you go! ENOUGH SAID!!
