What do you have running in your tray? Shut some of that crap down. Quicktime is a common one. Messenger is another, etc. That'll free up a ton of RAM quickly.

Now, if I could copy that list out I would have already done it! Can't find a way to copy my process list.

Sorry...emergency Calvinwalk.
Well, seems ol' Guids is right, eh Vail? Funny thing. I WORK in a roomful of PCs, build them and have four in my own house. Only reason I type on a Mac is because my company buys it and I still run virtual PC! I cannot believe a youngster like you hadn't caught onto the "wave" yet. I just read a recent review of Chrome (google's new browser) and claims IT is even better than IE. Firefox has like 75% of the Windows market now in browsers. Had I the time, I would have just said to install it and try it. It does not eliminate IE. Don't like it, just uninstall it and play with that popup window all night.
Spa. To answer your question I'd need to know more about your system. How much RAM, what apps do you run in the background, etc. I'd bet you any money that you have a lot of apps running in the background that you don't need. Firefox schools IE in every speedtest. It is something else. Describe more and maybe I can help. You saw it running on my webbook, though. Wouldn't even think of running IE on such a limited machine.
