Ahhhhh I get RLS sometimes, it's so annoying! I feel like I just HAVE to move my legs! Thankfully it's a very rare occurence now, I can't imagine how it must have felt to get it all the time cos of medication you were on. I was given Lorazapam once for not being able to sleep, because of the RLS problem , before they had a drug for it. I would wake up with the worst headache. My daughter woke me up one night to get her a drink of water and I had to crawl down the hall to get it for her, that stuff literally knocked me out! Not for me! As for RLS I have never felt anything more uncomfortalbe. You lay there and feel like every muscle in your body is gettin tight, especially your legs, you try to tense your whole body one good time to relieve the sensation, but it is relieved for a short while and the tenseness builds again, and it just goes on and on. Not one problem with that, unless I'm on Zoloft. | | Becks wrote: | | Side effects of those sort of medicines can be pretty nasty. I was taking oxazepam for anxiety last year, well it got rid of the anxiety, along with most anything else LOL! I was either sleeping or floating along on my own invisible cloud probably looking like a right weirdo too. Some people think it sounds nice but it wasn't really, it inhibited my ability to do anything really. I haven't taken any since that period where I really needed it, I try to control it myself lol. | | spapad wrote: | | Yep, know all about it! I've taken Zoloft for depression before, but it has side effects like causing Restless Legs Syndrome for me personally, that made it worse than taking nothing. So, I take nothing. | | Becks wrote: | | Apparently when the weather turns rubbish (usually in winter LOL!) there is actually a thing called seasonal affective disorder, which is a type of depression to do with the weather being yucky and what not. | | spapad wrote: | | I've never felt like I was really getting older till this summer, but I think that's more due to depression than anything! Nine months of complete crap for weather is enough to kill anyone! | | Becks wrote: | | Ah yes, I love listening to the rain when I'm lying in bed about to go to sleep lol! It's a soothing sound. But I agree, when it goes on forever, you just want it to piss off! LOL! Yeah I reckon crappy weather makes you feel run down, I've been feeling run down lately too, but that's partly due to letting my iron levels get low again, oops, haha. | | spapad wrote: | | The weather sucked this year, unless you love rainy days. I love rainy days when I'm at home, in the bed, and don't have to get up till I feel like it! I have never been so tired during summer my whole life! I really missed the sun! Flora is lucky she went to NC for the summer and didn't have to sit at home with this crappy weather! | | Becks wrote: | | That's right its back to school soon for all the kids there isn't it. Bye bye summer then, or what you had of a summer, sounds like the weather was quite the opposite this year! | | spapad wrote: | | I think I just need to start planning ahead! Get Christmas shopping going now. May as well or I'll come up short.
I can't believe Im alone on a Monday night! Flora went to have a last summer Hoorah with her friend, darn!.......wish I didn't have to work tomorrow. LOL | | Becks wrote: | | Haha so long as all the shopping is done then that's good. I hate it when you have to pay for heaps of stuff for one reason or another, doctors or dentists bills or whatever, at the end of it you wonder if you really did just get paid or what, LOL! | | spapad wrote: | | It's Monday after payday, and I'm on the verge of broke! HA!! But shopping is over, and I'm thankful for that! LOL | | Becks wrote: | | Haha thats true. Thanks, I'm real excited, it'll make life easier than always having to convert the electronic kit around, pain in the butt that is LOL.
How are things on your side of the globe anyways? | | spapad wrote: | | You can work your way up to it! Congrats! | | Becks wrote: | | I will eventually, I'll muck around with it for a bit then buy a double kick pedal that uses the one bass drum, handy dandy LOL! They did have a kit in store which is exactly what I'm getting that came with the double kick pedal, but the one I'm getting doesn't come with it, oh well, LOL! |
