TOPIC: Next Priest Studio Album
[J.D. DIAMOND] Thursday, September 17, 2009 4:48:03 AM

Yah....I really think that by them doing Nostradamus....it has set them up for the next album to obviously be way heavier.....the song writting is the most important.

The atmosphere and the instruments used on the Nostradamus album I "LOVE" and the entire concept about the Nostradamus project I like...the "lyrics" that Rob

wrote for this are supurb .....its just the actual "song writting" and the actual songs that I don't really care for....I do like Calm Before The Storm and Nostradamus .....

that track is a good JP song,Persecution and a couple of other intros..ect..are alright, but there are way more tracks on the album that I really can't get into...............

There are about 22 tracks right? And I really only like about 5 of them. Its just my personal opinion and all,but it really is the actual song writting that turns me off.

If Priest's next LP is totally heavy and like Painkiller...ect...that doesn't automatically make it a killer album, but when Priest goes heavy they usually deliver the goods.

Thats what is exciting about this next record....if they decide to harken back to a Painkiller/Angel Of Retribution style....I'm almost sold on the idea that the song writting

will kick ass.....I guess Ram It Down was the only album to me that was a heavy aproach, but maybe the song writting wasn't as strong all the way through.........

.......shhhhhh, I don't want Ron H. to hear this..........lol!!  No worries Ron....I do like the Ram It Down album....
