[J.D. DIAMOND] Sunday, November 08, 2009 12:27:34 AM
I found this information on "Encyclopaedia Metallum" a site that lists almost every band's disography,I don't know if this is actually "true" so I'm not sold on this but it really makes me wonder....if they would of released something like this it would of been very disappointing.....a "Diana Ross cover song"???? LOL!!!!! We have the band members to thank for NOT releasing any of this if this is indeed true, but it really doesn't suprise me if they attempted something like this though! lol!!

Judas Priest - The S.A.W. Demo

Demo, self-produced
1988
[add/edit review]

The demo was recorded with pop producers Stock, Aitken, and Waterman (who
produced a string of English hits in the 1980s) shortly after
Ram It Down
was completed. The recordings were done as a one-off and Judas Priest never had
plans to work with Stock, Aitken, and Waterman for an album or other sort of
Judas Priest release (although Pete Waterman claimed that the band were
interested in doing a full album in this style, contradicting the statements
given by the band members). At the time, however, Tipton and Downing mentioned
in interviews that these songs (the two originals were written by Stock, Aitken,
and Waterman) could be used for a film soundtrack if the band were asked.
Halford suggested that the tracks would be released someday, but ultimately the
band decided against this, and said they realized doing so would probably cause
most fans to turn on the band.
