If you are using a traditinal style of pick (elongated triangle) then turn the pick where the longest part ofthe pick is facing the bridge and use the side to pcik with. It`s got the larger angle which actually gives you less area to pick with making the harmonics much easier. George Lynch does this and you`ve heard how he uses harmonics. I incorporated this into my picking years ago and it really does make a difference. I`ve also changed recently to the smaller Jazz picks(heavy gauge) that have the beveled edges.
