That is a preference that most guitarists choose. Glenn and KK also use "active" pickups in their guitars, and some of the personality of the pickups are lost when using a wireless. I have a guitar with the same pickups, and there is a slight difference when switching between corded or wireless.
There are guitarists out there (Glenn and KK included) that have stuff they no longer use connected in their systems, but they don't dare remove it for fear of altering their sound. A guitar player's quest for tone is eternal, so if you like what you have, you leave it alone.
Personally, I go wireless, because a 20 foot cord can make one MISERABLE pretzel knot..... [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS from Thursday, December 17, 2009 12:09:10 AM)

I was wondering why Glenn is always "plugged in" and KK isn't? I don't play guitar so I have no idea if it's a sound or guitar issue or his personal preference. I miss how they used to change sides during a show and it just seems that because Glenn is corded, he doesn't have the freedom to move around as much. Thanks!
