Squirtle. Forgot who he evolves into...gotta catch 'em all! LOL!!!
Jarritos in glass bottles here. I kid you not. I'll have to take a camera next time I go to the store. As for cerveza, while I have seen Negra modelo, Tecate and both Dos equis and Dos equis ámber, it has only been in the tourist places. Like Corona. You can find it but I have never seen any of my family or friends drink it. Personally, I like Negra modelo (not just Modelo) but, then again, I'd take an oatmeal stout or porter over all the above. Never see it, though.
Sadly, México isn't known for beer. That is why I stick to Indio and tequila. I prefer a good Don Julio añejo / reposado puro but try a "bandera" if you want to try something interesting. Like the flag: red, white and green. Very common way to drink tequila. I just don't like the sangrita. The pokemon under the bottle caps thing was a LONG time ago. I was in Guerrero when I ended up getting a Jarritos with a picture of Squirtle underneath the bottle cap. Then the day after I got one with Bulbasaur. I kept the Squirtle one for years before it got lost.
Haven't heard of Indio...how about Modelo? Or Tecate? Or Dos equis? (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Wednesday, January 20, 2010 7:00:22 PM)

?? They have Jarritos here in TN! I cannot believe they wouldn't in CA.
Sorry to say that last time I bought one, no Pokemon under the cap. You'll have to look for the elusive Mew elsewhere.
BTW, Sol as well as Corona is for suckers. Indio beer is the current trend.

My favorites are the mandarin and the strawberry flavors. Are they still in glass bottles? And do they still have pokemon characters under the bottle caps? I used to collect those everytime I went to Mexico. Can't wait!!

How about a "Sol" beer? I've heard that one's pretty good. Or maybe I'll stick to my "Jarritos" sodas!

Vaillant, don´t forget the "Tortas ahogadas", but beware, they're REALLY hot..... you can drink a "Estrella" beer to cool down... (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Wednesday, January 20, 2010 3:10:57 AM)

I'll be going to Mexico this spring break for the first time in (almost) three years with my mom! First to Zacatecas and then to Jalisco (Guadalajara). We will be there mainly for vacation purposes, and for some other reasons that I shall not tell.
Should be fun though. I'll take pics, if anyone is interested. |
