I wish I would have seen them in 79'. In my opinion that was near their peak,or at worst their blow up period.
I had tickets for the 80' British Steel tour with Scorpions and Def Leppard. They canceled due lack of ticket sales.
They were only $4.50. It still makes me sick. Thank (good)ness for last year's British Steel tour. That's cool you
saw them in Detroit. I saw them there in 2005 at the DTE Energy Center. They were badass up there.
Thanks for the visit, stop back, it's free. (All the aggravation you could want at no charge)

Saw the post for the "favorite" Priest gig. I remember my first one in 1979 in California. I was just stunned. What a GREAT show. Strangely enough, I have only seen them six times. I sort of "strayed" from them in the nineties. I missed out on a lot of great stuff in the late 80's as well but that is the way it goes.
If I had to pick my favorite Judas Priest show of all time, it would have to be Detroit LAST YEAR! The show was great and the Priest were awesome but to spend that time with some of the members of THIS site made that show my most memorable. I will remember it the rest of my life! What a wonderful trip that was! A microcosm of what this Board is all about!!!!!
