Sounds great Mike! It might be hard work but it's rewarding work, AND it has to help you feel better physically as well, all that moving about is probably great help to your back and increases mobility. Keep this up and we'll be looking at a slim Freeze a year from now! It is all so incredibly fast-paced! It is also a remarkable amount of work. I honestly have such tremendous respect for Priest and all the other famous professionals that can do this day in and day out, year after year! (Especially at THEIR AGE!!!!) Unbelievable. It is grinding and repetitive and draining! Its funny but, the time onstage is a RUSH yet so fleeting. Its like a brief flicker in time and then you are back to the five hour practices and the same songs over and over and over and over and.....well, you get the idea. All we as fans ever see are the mind-blowing shows and, after a few hours, we go home but THEY go right back to it. Day after day.
It is something for which one clearly needs a tremendous amount of passion. It is just SO much work, not to mention I am already at a severe handicap! When the music plays, I feel like I am not in the real world. I go to another place and float in a "netherworld" and it is just so powerful! (And we are just a little, nobody band!) Then, BAM! We are back and it is pack up the gear and head back to the practice studio to pound out the hours until the next show. Livin the Life, indeed! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A wonderful Saturday morning to all. Had a GREAT show last night! The band we opened for is AFFIANCE. I must tell you, If you can find their MS page, LISTEN to these guys!! They were beyond incredible AND they did not have their singer!!!! (He had a family tragedy and went home). One of the VERY best, unsigned bands I have EVER heard!!!!!! I tell you the truth. They have just finished a US tour and are trying to get back to Cleveland. Apparently, the van they were in died and they had to find other means. Tough luck on the road...an old story!
Anyhooooo...Hope you all have a nice weekend. I am literally SPENT. Got in around 3 this morning and was up at 8... |
