I feel I responded appropriately. I figured it to be an attempt at humor. I did the same

I usually name them silly names to make her smile. When I see her for the first time in a while(hours) I give her the jazz hands and say "Yeah, It's Kelli the Beautiful." When I walk out in the morning for work and she sticks her head out behind me the birds are usually whistling. I tell her even the birdies are whistling at you. I'll randomly leave her notes or phone messages telling her how I feel. I'd write more but you guys are probably saying enough already. I guess what I'm trying to relay is that I'm in love. Married 17 years, together for 25. We still get along better than ever. Peace all!
