Don't even get me started!! You may or may not know this but, 2010 is Vin Scully's final year as THE voice of the Dodgers. I cannot even begin to tell you guys what his voice means to me. I recall my youth everytime he speaks. Such an icon. Such a true professional and a master of his craft. Things will just NOT be the same without him but I will always be grateful for the memories he has provided. Harry Carey was / is a true legend rip. I miss him in the booth so much!! What I wouldn't give to have run into him one night at some bar on Rush Street!!

Oh, don't get me wrong. I stand by MY post 100% (save for that bad Don Henley song and worst running movie ever made). I actually have a picture of old Tiger Stadium in my office. Got the new one too. Bought at a market right in the streets of Greektown. Need I call back that pic of me and my bro with one of my FIRST JP cross pictures during the World Series? Skipped school every opening day. Sadly, to see the Tigs lose most often than not. Sad to say the same for the Cubbies.
Hell, Harry Carey made life a very good thing in the 7th irrespective of the outcome.
Haven't forgotten the pic of me waiting on the platform for the L, Ron. Just can't find it. HAAAAA!!!

Ron, glad I could find a way to take you with me to "that place". Cubs, Dodgers, Toledo Mudhens...makes no diffference to me. Its all about the time of year and all those things which make it what it is to us. Things that remind of us simpler days. Of family vacations in the mountains or at the beach or wherever. Camping, swimming, hiking. Sitting in that aforementioned chair after all the "eatin" is done and just looking into the night sky... Nothing like a warm, summer evening by the pool.
