this is a different case i believe Head banger .i remember hearing HALFORD CRUCIBLE was not promoted very well or something like that its around the time HALFORD was having problems with his label sancerary.and he is just giving it the proper promoting that it deserves.

didnt we all recently buy a remastered british steel, now we get it re mastered again and played live? different packs.... back in the day lots of my friends didnt like priest cause everytime you looked at their tapes in the store there was a new one with all the songs you already had. that was Gull doing it but still, it was a crock. this is still frustrating to me.

I agree with what jimmy is saying,I know what Joe is saying here, but the fact of the matter here is that this shit is getting "old"...releasing shit over and over again, and they didn't need a remix or remaster of the fuckin Crucible CD my god that CD sounds fine the way it is,if its out of print then they can easily distribute it again the way it is for christ's sake, this remixing and remastering is an excuse to sell the cd again and is the oldest trick in the book, its a joke. And this "British Steel" tour/new remastered/remixed cd is going to go on for about 2 more freaking years if they can milk it that long, they will.
Whats next for 2011? The remixing and remastering of Screaming For Vengeance so that they can milk it till' 2012 when Screaming For Vengeance has been officially out for 30 years? Its all good what they did for British Steel but its going on a year and a half of it right now,by the end of summer I may never listen to British Steel again!! lol! For fuck sake, its not only Priest who is doing this, its every other band these days and its a joke.
All these "RE-HASHED" albums are giving me a headache by just freakin looking at them! Can't anybody do anything "new"??? Jee wiz.

Look, I can't be bothered going on and on about this. I stand by everything I said in my original post on this subject. I feel the same way about the British Steel Re-rerelease or what ever the fuck it is. Instead of fucking around remixing, remastering or re whatever he's doing just stop putting out the same stuff in different fucking formats and put out something we haven't heard before. I don't care what's been done to them or how much better they sound, it's all stuff we've heard before. If you want to buy it great, I don't and think it's a cash grab, that's all. Difference of opinion. |
