Van Halen to me is just this kind of dorky 80s party music. I know EVH is one of the best ever and they sold millions of albums. I have most of the Roth albums but I haven't really listened to them in the last 15 years. I just find 90% their songs meaningless and stupid. And they're definately not metal, don't know how they got that gig supporting Sabbath in the late 70s, Snowblind vs Dance The Night Away, what a contrast. Weird.
