The tactile "feel" of it is hard to describe. Amazingly smooth. Now I know why the ball seems to "fly" on people. It is like a baseball or American football without the seams. Nothing to really grip when compared with that 2006 ball. With the latter, you can get your foot into a groove to give it some spin. Not so with this new monster.
