That's quite a difference in price but worth the price for the official.. I'm a total sucker for things like that.. well, after kids what budget allows me to splurge on lol. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Thursday, June 17, 2010 2:03:00 PM)

There are always two (or three if you count the finals...usually if not always a different ball) that are released: an official and a replica often termed the "Replique."
A Replique sells for around $25 USD retail while the official is marketed at $150 USD. Pakistan USED to manufacture all of them. Lately, though, China has taken over. Surprise surprise.
I agree, though, it is gorgeous!

They're R200 here.. that's about $20 in your currency I think.. A lot of players have complained about the ball.. saying it is too light and the quality of it is not what they are used to. IDK... I just think it looks beautiful! lol

The tactile "feel" of it is hard to describe. Amazingly smooth. Now I know why the ball seems to "fly" on people. It is like a baseball or American football without the seams. Nothing to really grip when compared with that 2006 ball. With the latter, you can get your foot into a groove to give it some spin. Not so with this new monster.
Now I just have to figure out how to break down and store the box. Heck if I am using either of these in real games. Especially the 2010. Too damn expensive! LOL!!

It is a big difference but... I dig it! It's the Jabulani ball! Beautiful isn't it?

Case is even cool. Inside are pictures of a number of previous WC balls.
