Loud and clear hellrider don't get me wrong,I'd love to see and hear this next album in the vien of Painkiller's heaviness, but if they do an album of earlier style it will be on purpose like Angel Of Retribution was.If they do a style like Screaming For Vengeance it would be cool if they did all the songs in the vien of Electric Eye,Riding On The Wind,Bloodstone,Screaming for Vengeance,Devil's Child and leave out the "Take These Chains" and "Fever" type of tracks.
Or something like in the vien of Angel Of Retribution but this time all the songs in the vien of Demonizer,Hellrider,Judas Rising and although they are decent tracks for Angel Of Retribution(except Lochness),leave out tracks like Angel,Worth Fighting For,Revolution and Lochness only because of the idea of creating a solid album all the way through of blistering classic heavy Judas Priest. I hope they give us at least 8 songs like this and I could handle 2 songs like "A Touch Of Evil" if the songs were quality and instant classics.
But definately I'm not ruling out a chance for a Painkiller style with this next album, because it would be just like them to release Nostradamus thier most soft album to date in 2008 and then release thier heaviest (or at least as heavy as Painkiller) album to date in 2011. !!!!!!!!!

Well I hear what your saying Hellrider and don't get me wrong, they may just go into a Painkiller style with this next album and yes I'd be thrilled but if it doesn't happen, then thats totally fine by me as well. Painkiller doesn't make up Priest's discography,Hell Bent For Leather,British Steel,Screaming For Vengeance,Defenders Of The Faith and Angel Of Retribution are 5 other albums with a less agressive sound than Painkiller and are classics as you know.
I'd actually be stoked if the sound was a retro Hell Bent For Leather mixed with a British Steel sound(like Steeler) or something like that,or even in the vien of Angel Of Retribution's heaviest songs like Demonizer,Hellrider,Judas Rising. But thats just me,I know your passion for the Painkiller album and thats well respected. I guess if they don't match Painkiller in every way you'll be disappointed.
For me,alls they have to do is stay away from creating an album like Turbo,Ram It Down(because its only half good),Demolition and Nostradamus and create a classic british styled heavy metal album and if there are 9 out of 10 songs that totally kick ass I'll be happy....especially after the atrocity that was the "N" album.

So if they put out an album like "the sound" of Screaming For Vengeance with top notch songs it will be a bust? Your retarded.

But we already have Painkiller.... Why would you want the band to rehash old material instead of progressing forward and doing what they WANT to.
