I say the FIRST book if you haven't yet read the prequel. Sounds really more like Silence of the Lambs than Star Wars. They made subsequent movies to the first then the prequel "Hannibal" showing what the young lad went through to bring him to his loony state in Silence. I own it but haven't seen it yet. No real desire either.
Reading a later novel before the first will distort how you view the second in the temporal order in which it was composed. So there is MY vote...read the first he wrote. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Sunday, September 12, 2010 7:36:33 AM)

Good morning, ladies and gents of the Noticeboard! Hope everyone had a good day yesterday. It has been an interesting past 9 years, hasn't it?
Anyway, right now I have a tiny dilemna on my hands: three months ago I bought a book written by an author that was recommended to me by a TA at school. Just recently I decided to wiki the author to find out more about him and his works. Turns out the book I bought is a prequel to another book he wrote years earlier.
So...what should I read first? The prequel or its predecessor (heh)? Any ideas?
