Actually hellrider,I might be wrong,but I'll bet more people like the Angel Of Retributiuon LP more than you are saying,do they like it better than Painkiller? No. But I think there are more people that enjoy the album more than you are saying. And if Angel Of Retribution sounds like the Metallica Black Album to your ears....well,it must suck to be you! lol!!! I can't find ANYTHING about Angel Of Retribution that sounds like "The Black Album" but if it does to you,good for you.
If this entire forum and even outside the forum all hated Angel Of Retribution it wouldn't phase me in the least,the album is a kick ass Judas Priest british heavy metal album in my book,thats all that matters to me.Everytime I hear it,it makes me thankful that they delivered such a classic album,only one bad song and thankfully its the last track. Painkiller is excellent but not every track is top notch either,I really don't think One Shot At Glory is one of thier best songs either,and at least that track is the last on the album lol!! You and others can call it the "black album" and I'll put it in and enjoy a classic british heavy metal album.But if you or Brian don't like the album,more power to ya! Not a problem at all my friend.
I wonder........just how many people on this forum actually do like the Angel Of Retribution album(besides the last track Lochness)?? How many think it sounds like Metallica's "Black Album"?? Anyone??

I'm so glad that I happened to love the Angel Of Retribution (except for the last track "Lochness") album,to me the album just beats Defenders Of The Faith and lands in at #5 in quality studio albums,but thats just my opinion,I'm just glad that I like it and as usual it clicked with the first listen,albums never "grow" on me like fungus,either I like it or I don't. I guess you and others view me the same way with Retribution......yeah that album is classic Judas Priest heavy metal,even "Worth Fighting For"....classic Judas Priest thats not thier heaviest,but niether is "Solor Angels" or neither is "A Touch Of Evil" or "One Shot At Glory". We'll just have to wait and see what the band has for all of us,I'm sure I won't be disappointed,but I know others will be.
