I originally opened an account because it was the only way friends and classmates wanted to reach me regarding meetings, parties, etc. It's nifty, but the only thing that annoys me about it is all those statuses saying, "Only 10% of people will post this on their statuses: Jesus is my savior. Facebook is fun and all, but it ain't the same as here. It's a sanctuary/retreat from the family and friends that know jack squat about Heavy Metal...or Judas Priest, for that matter.
