If somebody so random wants to search me out later in life (HA!!! Like that'll ever happen...), they'll have to work for it. They can ask my friends for my e-mail. You never know when someone so totally random to your life will type in. lol Just make sure you have all privacy shut down to friends only, so it wont ever bite you in the ass later in life. I show up every now and again, but it's not that fun there to me. | | Vaillant 3.0 wrote: | | Yup. I just put stupid, random things as a status.
I'm thinking of deleting my account once I get out of school and all my classmates go their different ways. That way I can just stay here. Hopefully. We'll see. | | spapad wrote: | | The spammers suck! I hate the ones who play like they are intimidating you into doing something. I NEVER play along. One friend regulary sends me chain mail at work and I then look up this crap on snopes and find that it's a buch of lies and email her back with the truth. She's almost stopped sending me things now. It only took 3 years.. LOL | | Vaillant 3.0 wrote: | | There's one I remember that went something along like this: "...our troops need all the help they can get. Post this as your status if you think so. If not, then you're better off being the receiving end of a soldier's bullet". Something along those lines. My first reaction was, "Damn, woman (or man)!! Don't get so violent!" (Quoting Message by spapad from Sunday, October 24, 2010 3:38:56 PM)

Crap! ...............That is as bad as chain mail and I wont contribute one once of my time to such trash! I hate those " please send to at LEAST ten people thing" I delete those with joy in my heart for doing so. I don't believe in stupid luck, nor do I believe an Angel will bless me simply because I forwarded a Stupid Email.

I originally opened an account because it was the only way friends and classmates wanted to reach me regarding meetings, parties, etc. It's nifty, but the only thing that annoys me about it is all those statuses saying, "Only 10% of people will post this on their statuses: Jesus is my savior. I bet YOU won't post it". Whatever.

It's a place where you say nice things to people you have not seen in years, wish them well, and then go about your life. Occasionaly, I will get replies back to posts, but since I'm not inspired to make posts, getting responses is not happening. LOL It's too much like work. I like to say what I want to say when I want to say it an be amongst people I know and love. Hence, why facebook is not for me really. Good way to watch what Flora is up to though.

The poke feature is funny. Heh.
Facebook is fun and all, but it ain't the same as here. It's a sanctuary/retreat from the family and friends that know jack squat about Heavy Metal...or Judas Priest, for that matter.
